Welcome to Dog Handling Techniques. The following information will answer most of your service related questions. More detailed information is available to you on request. We offer a variety of handling techniques tailored to meet your various needs.
1. Venues
All classes are held at the Magalisig and Animania vet.
• Magalisig : Corner Leslie and Troupant (The venue is behind the Merrow Down Plaza Shopping Center )
• Animania Vet 21C Pine Rd, Broadacres AH, Sandton, 2055
2. Conditions of Tuition
• No Training will take place unless fees have been paid
• DHT reserves the right of admission; no mistreatment of dogs will be tolerated
• The owners and trainers reserved the right to request the dog be permanently on lead and/or muzzled should it be judged to be arisk to other dogs or people
• No unnecessary force or mishandling
• All Owners will clean up any faeces left by their dog during the course of training
• Current inoculation certificates are required at your first lesson
• All fees are payable monthly in advance at the first lesson of each month
• One months’ notice of your intention to cease training with DHT or payment in lieu of notice is required
3. Method of Payment
• Monthly cash in advance at the first lesson
• Fees R 450 per month for monthly lessons and R 750 for the 6 week programs. (Deposit required)
• Internet transfers may be made by prior arrangement
• As group tuition enjoys group rates, fees are payable as usual during handlers absence due to illness, vacation ect, during the month
• Monthly billing subject to periodic adjustment.
4. Credits
• Group lessons that are missed due to the instructor cancelling or lessons that are “rained out” can be made up on either of the scheduled training days Saturday at no extra cost.
• No credits or refunds will be given for lessons not attended (with the exception of the below mentioned)
• Credits will be passed and fees not payable when :
-Bitches are in season and kennelled for the duration thereof
-Dogs are incapacitated due to injury/ extended illness
-The DHT instructor is unable to take the scheduled lesson and is unable to arrange an alternative one
5. Notice Period
One month’s notice of your intention to cease training with DHT or payment in lieu of notice is required. I have read and understand and accept the conditions of the tuition of Dog handling techniques (DHT) and neither DHT nor the trainers, their agents and servants are liable for any claims or damages arising in any manner whatsoever in any place during the course of the training, and in particular:
• Any death or injury to myself, my property, my guest, my dog or another dog or handler resulting from any dog bites or consequential training actions
• Any medical / veterinary costs as a result of the above.
